Rancho Santa Fe Homes
Rancho Santa Fe homes have a unique and distinctive style within San Diego's
North County homes. Many of the homes are luxury estates on one plus acre lots
and have a rural charm with rolling hills, and built with a Spanish Hacienda,
Mediterranean or traditional Ranch flavor. Rancho Santa Fe is known for its

Each neighborhood in Rancho Santa Fe is one of several exclusive residential
estate enclaves in the unincorporated area of the Rancho Santa Fe community.
Rancho Santa Fe lies directly east of the City of Solana Beach and the Del
Mar Racetrack areas which abut the Pacific Ocean, and the community is bounded
by the San Dieguito River Valley and lagoon on one side and Escondido Creek
and San Elijo Lagoon on the other. The quaint village town center of Rancho
Santa Fe is about five miles from the oceanfront.
Rancho Santa Fe Covenant, is a California Historic Landmark. In the 1920s,
architect Lillian Rice planned the subdivision and many of the public buildings
throughout town. Her vision of Spanish Colonial Revival set the standard for
most of the buildings in the downtown area. The unincorporated area of Rancho
Santa Fe is one the most affluent communities in America and leads the nation
in both per capita income and home values.
The Crosby
The Crosby Estate is fairly new and consists of 722 acres, off the Del Dios
highway and just east of Rancho Del Rio. This gated community offers great
amenities including private golf and clubhouse, along with a swimming and tennis
facility. Discreetly woven into the golf course layout are a limited number
of custom estate home sites ranging in size from 1/3 of an acre to over 2 acres.
Some vacant lots are still available for custom homes.
